With a blog you can grow traffic and build a reputation online, for that reason they’re investing their time and money in writing and promoting them. Sometimes, when you are new to blogging chances are that you will make a couple of mistakes in the process of launching a new blog and keep it running. Just when people start a new job, they usually mess things up at the beginning. Today I will share with you some mistakes I used to make at the beginning of blogging. - Not Defining Your Target Audience. This was one of my first common mistakes. The target audience for any kind of business is the group of people who are most likely to be interested in your offerings because it fulfills their specific needs. It’s essential to know relevant and specific details about your audience then with that information you can make a successful blog strategy that appeals to your audience and helps you stand out in the search engine ranks. - Blogging Inconsistently. Don’t Stop Writing!!! This is a common mistake, if your blog drives a good chunk of traffic to your site, it’s never a good idea to pause content creation. One of the biggest reasons people visit your blog is because of the fresh content they get to read on your site. If you put a pause on that your audience could lost interest in it. Sometimes when we get unmotivated we tend to stop posting, for that it’s ESSENTIAL to have a posting schedule!! - Deviating from the Target Niche. While we try to write new blog posts its very common to deviate from our niche! to cover a wide range of topics to appeal to a mass audience. The problem is that we don’t know what the audience wants to read or whether your audience will like what you write. No matter if you are an individual blogger or a business blogger, you should target a specific niche to blog about. This will help you reach out to the right audience for your business, also, your engagement rate and grows on your blog will increase and It will be easier for you to create your authority as a blogger on that specific niche. - Publishing Short Content Frequently. As I mention before the consistency is the KEY in blogging successfully, also its important to create content that span the topic you are writing about, its recommended to all bloggers to focus on creating long-form content of 2,000 words or more to answer as many questions as possible on a given topic instead of writing short content of 1,000 words or below every day. - Have No Blogging Goals. At the beginning its important to set minor goals to help you stay motivate, focus and consistent! No matter if you are a part – time blogger you should be setting short time goals. Ask yourself where do you want to see your blog grow in the next three months? When you’ve goals, you create a clearer picture and it makes it easy for you to prepare an action plan! -Focusing Too Much on SEO. If you want to improve your online visibility content, however you shouldn’t be prioritizing SEO over user experience. The first step in writing SEO content is to drive a keyword research. It will help you find the terms or phrases that can be added to your content to enhance its online visibility. - Not Using Google Analytics. This tend to happen to every new blogger. Why is so important to check out our statistics? When you know your audience demographics, high peak times, page views and more, you can improve your blogging strategy! For this you can use a tool called “google analytics” It helps to figure out the best-performing pages, and how you can improve those pages and it also determines what pages are slowing your site. - NOT Having a Mail List. Email marketing is enormous! Though social media is fast and this is where the message circulates easily but emails are still effective. If you have a blog and you want to turn it into a business in future, then having an email list is crucially important, also is a great way of interacting with your audience!! - NOT Using a Social Share Button. If you’re missing this step you’re already losing readers, it’s so important your audience can share easily your content to other platforms. It’s easy to use a plugin, and activate it on your website. Some free options are social pug, warfare, Sumo me. - NOT being authentic. The competition online is HUGE! Almost every niche is crowded, you need to show yourself a genuine person to build a following. Your readers want a trusted person to share their experiences, so start creating unique content, content that you actually like and stop copying others! just get inspired and transform your own ideas! - NOT Promoting Blog Content. Promoting your content is so important to increase its reach. You must promote your blog posts on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to increase your content visibility. As you see there are a lot of mistakes we tend to do as we start blogging! We all have been there! The best thing is to identify such blogging mistakes and grow faster. These days as we know there are many platforms where you can start creating content, BUT there are also a lot of people doing it, YouTubers, bloggers, tiktokers, influencers, entrepreneurs, business owners, and others. So the question is, how can you stand out above others? Well, this can be very complex, because there isn't a secret r ecipe, but today I will share with you some tips that might help you start creating quality content! Have a conversation with your audience and ask them what they want. The best thing you can do is start getting to know what your audience wants to see. If someone wants something specific, there is bound to be someone else who is looking for that content too. The best part is that they might give you an idea that you would have never thought about. Something that no one else is creating content around. And that could be your big break. Create and Write about what you Like. If you constantly feel stuck when it comes to figuring out what to create or write about, start with what you like. Just because content should be helpful, does not mean it has to be stuffy and boring. And you don't have to write about everything in and around your business. You can choose to focus your efforts on topics that truly interest you. I guarantee your content quality will significantly improve once you quit trying to cater to things you don't care about, because of that is important to add your style and personality to your content, for that you can use Pinterest to search and get inspiration on creative content ideas, colors, photoshoots, and others. Share things that others aren't sharing. As I said before is better when you create something you found interest in it, so start seeking those things that you might like and evaluate if others are sharing it, this way you can stand out and reach more people with a new topic. Invoke positive emotions. Emotional content is three times more likely to be effective. One of the best ways to start making viral content is to invoke positive emotions on your content. Don't copy what has been successful to others. I know trends are super fun and you can recreate them but you need to add it your style and personality don't just copy what others are doing. I've found that the content that works best for me is the ideas that I came up with myself. Things that pop into my mind at night and I create the next day. Those ideas perform the best!!! You don't have to create mind-blowing content. As I mentioned before a good content must be genuinely helpful and solve a problem for your readers. BUT that doesn't mean it has to be mind-blowing, innovative, world-conquering content. Remember that sometimes things that you already know or that simply come easily to you, maybe mind-blowing to someone else Try to create guides and other practical content. Guides and Practical Information are among the most shared elements on the Internet. That's because people like to learn how to do it themselves. Many people experience successes by just adding the word "How" at the beginning of the article, so when you are creating or writing something you should add value by helping others to understand how to do something by themselves. Other things you can do to add a plus on your creation are: Using plus-in for social media. The content will have more value if you make it easier to share!!! Mention people in your messages. Mentioning people in your messages, whether on the site or social networks, is great to get their attention. If they like your publication, the individual can share it with their fans. This is particularly useful when targeting the best influencers in your industry. Add images to your messages. Adding images is an extremely effective way to help increase the chances of viral content. That's because it plays an essential role in online engagement. A pin that has become incredibly popular in hours or days by being shared by most Internet users. How can I make my pin go viral? There are certain things you can do to greatly increase your chances that your pin goes viral, and today I'm going to show you the tips that have helped me increased my viral pins and blogger traffic. 1. Use pin-worthy image. Pinterest is all about images! It is a visual discovery engine for finding ideas and more. So, there is a big impact on Images because it helps people to decide your pin is worth clicking or not. When deciding on the image to use, you want to ensure it makes sense for Pinterest, here are 2 tips to create catchy images for Pinterest: You should be creating vertical tall images instead of horizontal pics. Long vertical images usually perform the best because it takes up more space in the Pinterest feed. The sizes of your Pinterest Pin are so important. If you don't have the right size, you are setting yourself up for failure. Pinterest has always said the perfect pin ratio is 2:3. So never use square images. They are not aesthetically pleasing and Pinterest will less likely show your pin as they don't like square images. Good Quality Image. The appealing of the images is everything. Stay away from blurry photos. Always go for high-resolution, eye-catching photos. You can either take your photos or use stock photos. There are a lot of free stocks photos you can use, the problem is because is free it's used a lot by many people meaning your image would be repeated, you can also use the sites of stock photos that are paid, they tend to perform better because Pinterest sometimes gets saturated with all the same images. You can get really good paid stock photos using Shutterstock and Deposit photos. 2. Use catchy Pins titles: This is very important if you want to get a lot of traffic on your social media with a viral pin, the first thing you can do before picking a title is to think If you want to click any pin, ask yourself, why would you click it? ."Eyeball-Grabbing Titles Are Everything" If your blog titles are thump, it will get less traffic even if the blog content is outstanding. Even if your content is not that great but has a title that stands out, blog views are more consistent. Also, go bold!!! Well, the easiest way is to search for "blogging" on Pinterest and it would give you suggested terms, and these terms are your keywords. 4. Use hashtags. Using hashtags is one of the best ways to tell Pinterest which categories are related to your pins. Once you put a hashtag on a description of a new pin, users can click on that and find other pins for those who tagged on the same hashtag. It also worked with the Pinterest search so that if someone typed the hashtag #Blogging and all of the related pins about Blogging came up with the search result. Colors are important. Some colors are known to be pinned more than others. People are drawn to certain colors, so create pins with bright and warm colors. Don't use dark colors. And since Instagram is owned by Facebook, you can also sync your Instagram account up so that you can schedule and manage your Instagram and Facebook accounts from one place! The great news? All of these apps have helped me on the following: Automation of workflow, smart scheduling of content, and productivity. In my opinion, you cannot recycle all of your content, you should be focusing on those that are getting a lot of engagement, so ask yourself: how else can I use this content? Here I will give you 10 ideas on how to repurpose your main piece of content on different platforms: 1. You can turn your YouTube videos into a blog post or in reverse: If you have a YouTube video that is getting a lot of comments and views instead of creating new content for your blog you can recycle it, you can use web pages like Rev.com or Temi.com for transcribing your content. 2. You can transform your Facebook or Instagram live into a blog post or a LinkedIn article: The best way to transform your live into an article is using google docs the function of voice typing, that way you can save everything you are saying on your live and use it later for another platform. 3. You can turn your main post into social media graphics: If your main post is a YouTube video or a blog post you can transform it into different social media graphics that you can post on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and many others. For that, you can create them using Canva. 4. You can use your videos (YouTube, IGTV, podcast) and share a sound bite of it on social media: You can crop a part of the video and share it as an Instagram story, that way you will promote the original video and it will have more views and engagement. 5. You can share positive comments or feedbacks of your main post: Create new content using the comments that you get on your main post and later post it on social media, this also will direct people back to your video. 6. You can transform your YouTube or IGTV into a TikTok video: Recycle a part of interest of your main video and transform it into a TikTok and it will also help people get to your main content. 7. You can create a pin for Pinterest of your main post: Turn the information that you are posting into different pins and later pin it on Pinterest and link it back to that main post. Also, you can share for example your Instagram stories, and repurpose those into your Pinterest stories. Another thing you can do is use the captions of your Instagram posts, and you can repurpose those into infographics, utilizing Canva list- style graphics and then post it on Pinterest. 8. You can chop up your blogpost: Turn little fragments of your blogpost and transform it into bite-sized social media posts. 9. You can transform your main post into an Instagram carousel: Turn your main post (YouTube video, blog post, IGTV) into an Instagram post using a carousel this is a perfect option because you can add different slights and also carousel post tends to have a really good engagement. 10. You can reuse past content: Reshare relevant content that you already post it in other platforms, and also you can update it, for example a blog post that you wrote a month ago you can update it and add other things that you found relevant. As you can see you have many options to transform your content into something new! You can help yourself using apps like headliner which is a really good choice for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money and want to get some help to turn the main post into different formats. There is another option more expensive and in my opinion is directed at those who have a business and people who have to create massive content every day, its call repurposing house. And also if you are a beginner you can do the transformations yourself using different web pages like rev.com or temi.com, canva, google docs and many others. Camera and Gear to Start Blogging
Hello hello welcome to a new post! I have been asked many times on my Instagram what camera do I use and until about a month I was using both my Sony Alpha 6000 and my iPhone 11. But I decided that after 5 years of having my old camera I needed to improve if I wanted to improve the quality of my photos. And I got my Sony 7iii, which I love love. This I think are a necessary purchase are. Camera, it does not have to be the most expensive one but the more professional it is the better photos it will take. Tripod, the best purchase I have made. It is light to carry and it is so so functional. Light, not everyday will be sunny and not all photos will be taken when the sun is out, so for those moments the ring or the led lights are perfect. It is the safes my camera has ever been What I want to say if that you don't need an expensive camera but you can start buying things as you grow in the social media of your choice, and you will see that the moment you collect all these things the quality of your content will be much more better. Identify a Non-Real Brand Collaboration
We all have been through here! If you're on Instagram or a blogger, you will get messages and emails from brands asking you to partner with them on a collaboration. After many emails, it is now easy for me to identify the scam ones very quickly. It may be exciting, receiving an email from a brand wanting to collaborate with you, but before responding or opening any clicks, think if it is real. So before you get your hopes up, remember a few key things. 1 . Brand Ambassador Messages Please don't bother responding to them. Just delete! These include: - Requests for you to purchase their product first for reimbursement later. - Requires you to purchase at a discount. - You have to cover the shipping fees and expenses. - Leaving comments on your photos asking for YOU to dm THEM. Most of the time, this is a computer doing people to see who is going to bite. - Asks you to create content for their use on their Instagram/website, using their product but don't pay you. And say that in return, they will help promote your social media accounts. 2 . Discount for Followers and % of your Sales - For this, it is best to use affiliate sales from Reward Style, and many others without purchasing anything. - You don't have to post anything if you don't want - Only promote things you like and already use - You don't have a specific timeline nor contract Related Posts: Affiliate Marketing For New Bloggers 3 . On Your Email One of the ways I check the legitimacy of a brand offering sponsorships is by first checking their email address and the signature at the end. It’s an immediate red flag for me when the person reaching out to me uses a free email account (aka Gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc.). If a brand has a product to sell and a website to sell it on, they have an official email account. - Sent from a "@gmail.com'" instead of a professional email like '." - Using language that isn't professional as sweetie, darling, honey. - Do not start by your name; if they are not capable of knowing who are they sending the message it is not worth your time. - A collaboration scam will always ask for extra work for you without really compensating you for it. Note: Small businesses who have their business on Etsy or Amazon may be an exception, it’s still presents as a fishy offer. 4 . Read The Brief vs. What They Are Offering Just by the description, I knew that it was nothing more than free publicity for the brand. Here's how I knew: - The words they use, one of the most common, is that they need you to help "spread the word" or give "tips to your readership" about what they can do with said product. - They say they are new in the market or that they 'do not have a budget right now'. The first thing I ask is what the budget is for the project. When there isn't one, the email would say something like, "We don't have one; we simply wanted to generate some buzz." Sorry, but that is not how it should work. That's when you know this is for their benefit and not yours. - Flattering Words, the brand called me the perfect person to talk about a product not even related to my niche. Flattery will get you nowhere unless you plan on paying for what you want. 5 . No Sponsorship Contract, No Partnership - If you do get approached by a brand, and they're asking you to partner with them in a legitimate paid collaboration or sponsorship

The Whole Brand Deal is on DMs When a brand reaches out to me in the DMs. I send them my email! I ask them to give me the information through email and that way is more formal. If a brand really wants to work with you, they will be happy to take the extra step. Brand managers and PR professionals usually reach out via DM when you’ve interacted with them on social media or if they need your email address. 7 . How To Get REAL Brands I have said it before, and I still believe in it! If you are a small blogger/ influencer, it is more accessible to work with brands through apps and websites in the middle of the collaborations. There are many companies out there that work with Instagram influencers to connect them with brands. As I am still a small account on Instagram, these platforms' price range is always good for the engagement I offered in return. 8 . How Do I Know When To Accept a Collaboration Don't Sell Yourself Short. Always know that your time, effort, and your profile or blog is worthy of a properly paid collaboration, where you get adequately compensated. Your time can be better spent on new pitching opportunities with brands than responding to questionable brand collaboration inquiries. Always charge for the post of your photo, for the stories, for the swipe up feature; if they want you to add the link to your profile, charge for that. - If a brand wants to use your image for ads, charge for it - If a brand wants to use your content outside of the social media where your posts, charge for it Most of these photo usage charges are more 'photographer' related costs per photo, per month of usage, and per place of use. Upload Fonts To Your Wix Blog
Yes! You read it right! We can upload our own fonts to Wix and make our pages even more on brand. And because I happen to be such a sucker for different more into brand type of fonts I will show you how to add yours to your website. One of my personal fave Wix features is the ability to upload your own fonts to the platform. So in this post, I’ll be showing you how to do just that! It’s an incredibly quick and simple process. 1. Go to your Wix website editor 2. On the left side panel click on 'add' and next on 'text'. 3. Under 'Themed text' add 'Heading one' to page. 4. Double click on text to edit and on small text setting box click the down pointing arrow next to 'Fonts'. 5. Scroll all the way down and click on 'Upload Fonts" 6. Click on the orange button at the top right, the fonts have to be on TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 format. 7. Locate the font on your computer and click on 'open' 8. Once green checkmark appears next to the new font click on "Done" 9. The fonts uploaded will appear at the very top of the Fonts drop down menu on the 'My Fonts' section. And that is it! Are you NOT Growing On Instagram ? How To Fix It
Have you seen everyone around you grow and grow on followers but you are stuck on the same number for ages? That was me! I totally get it, believe me! With some many people on the same platform making sure your are found and you have something different to bring to your followers is not as easy as it was months ago But I am here to show you my tips to make change and get out of that stuck zone you have been! Your Biography There are two main places that you should check right now Your @username, which is the one people will tag you from, make it your name or a name that relates to your nice, if you want to learn how to name your profile check out this blog post Your name, is the one that shows in bold, make sure you add your first name or nickname + niche. This way, you double the opportunity to be found by either your name or what is it you do, some people also write their city here. 2. Your Description It is the space to connect with your audience and let them know how you help them. The best way to write the description is to be very clear about who your target audience is and identify what they want, so that the message is super targeted using words with which they identify. - In one sentence explain what is it you talk about in your profile, what's that thing people will find there - Add your location, your email and if you have any #hashtag on constant use - Place a sentence that will make people click on your link, such a 'Click here to find your free ebook' or 'click here to find the newest Amazon Deals' Think to yourself, what is it you give to your followers on your posts? What is it you usually talk about in your stories? If you have trouble knowing what to write on your bio and your name, feel free to fill up this information so it can give you more clarity on your niche and theme. 3. Profile Photo Try to keep it consistent; make it a close up photo of you better if you are wearing the colors you usually use on your feed photos. Use the same photos on all your social media platforms, because it case someone saw, let's say, your Youtube video and are on Instagram to look for you, they know which one is the real one by looking at the profile photo. 4. Visual Strategy Make it seem seamless by planning before posting. I have a whole blog post on how to plan your feed to make it as aesthetic as possible; check it out. But using apps like UNUM to plan your photos and see how they will look next to each other before posting them is what you need to do. Your last nine photos are the most important because usually when people get to your profile, those are the ones they will see before deciding if they want to follow you or not. Try to keep your posts always cohesive between them and only post things you are genuinely proud of. 5. Color Blocking Try to keep using the same filter when editing your photos to make them look so much smoother side by side. And the same thing with clothes, try to keep your clothes in the same colors. As we may not notice but clothes take a considerable part of our photos and our feed, so choosing the same tones of colors for your clothes will make a huge difference in your feed. Take Better Instagram Photos Of Yourself
Instagram may be harder lately, but in the end, your photos are what matter the most. If you don't have a photographer or an 'Insta Husband' to take your photos.. These tips are for YOU! I will be talking about a camera, tripod, self-timer, and ideas. Let’s get into this! PD. The blog posts contain affiliate links. My IG Account - The Truth I do have someone who takes my photos, but that's NOW. Because I have been taking photos myself for over four years. And all my photos at home... I take them myself. All the photos you see of me in my' office', on my sofa and all the creative ones are all shot by ME! Follow me on Instagram and check them out; see you there Since I got started on Social Media, I've been doing self-portraits, and let me tell you, and you will end up loving it! So let's start talking bout the equipment part. The Equipment Your Should Get 1. A Quality Camera First, my camera. If you don't have a fancy camera, do not wait for it to start! The cameras that come from phones these days are excellent. And they keep getting better and better. So your iPhone or any phone with a good camera will work. But if you want to know, I use my new Sony Alpha 7III camera to shoot most of my photos. But some of them are taken on my phone. If you are thinking of investing in a camera without spending a ton of money, my first camera was a Sony Alpha 6000, and I still use it from time to time. Having a high-quality camera can make all the difference in making your IG photos look better. 2. A Tripod Even if you are using your phone or have a camera, a tripod will always be a must. Even for photos taken at home! I love my tripos because when it closes, it can find in any bag and is the best for travel photos. I use it at home much more, because that's where I take the photos myself. I love moving it the angles and high; I need it for different ideas and pictures. This is the one I have! 3. A shutter button This will make taking photos so so much easier. So cameras have their app that you connect to the phone, and you get to use your phone as a controller. When I took my photos with my phone, I had a shutter controller not to have to come back to my phone after each picture. This is the one I have; it works for iPhone and Samsung as well. 4. Apple Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader This is a new acquisition, but it has made my life so much more comfortable. If you edit on your iPhone or your iPad, you can use this adapter to choose and upload the photos directly to the camera to Lightroom. As I say, you may not need it, but it will make your life easier. 5. Editing Apps I made a whole blog post about having an aesthetic feed so check it out if you want to learn more. But one app I believe is a must is Lightroom! There are a ton more like Tezza, PicsArt, Meitu, Photoshoot, and many more. Start with Lightroom, download it and try out the free version first and see how it goes! 6. Ideas and Poses Use Pinterest when thinking of new ideas; there are many photos for you to get inspiration from. I also follow a ton of people who post creative photos on social media, so I save it to my folders on Instagram when I see something I like. I even created a board on Pinterest with ideas for photos. When looking at the photos, pay attention to the model's poses and try to recreate them, so you don't have the same type of shoots on your Social Media. 7. Take vertical pictures On Instagram, you can upload vertical images, horizontal images, or square images. But if your image is vertical, it will cover more space on the "home" of your followers, so your image will take more time to be seen while scrolling than a horizontal image. This will also make it easier to get your whole body in the image. So trust me on this one. And that's it!
